New stores start with a 14-day free trial. On the trial: up to 25 products, 500 MB storage, 1 staff seat, no CSV exports, up to 3 blog posts, 0 AI credits, no marketing email sending (emails to shoppers only go to the store's own team addresses), every order is a test order and online payments run in test mode. Subscriptions work in test mode. A banner in the admin shows "Free trial: N days left". To lift limits the owner chooses a plan in Settings → Plan & billing (/settings/billing).
Other admin banners: "Your store is offline" (no active plan — the storefront is closed but the admin works; data is deleted 30 days later unless a plan is chosen) and "Payment failed".
