SellOrchard

Fashion & apparel

Every size, every shade, one tidy catalog

A single jacket in five sizes and six colours is thirty things to photograph, stock and sell. SellOrchard keeps them under one product — while your collection pages show each colourway the way shoppers actually browse.

  • Option sets
  • Split variants
  • Lookbook pages
  • Returns (RMA)
  • Photo reviews

The fitting-room problems

Clothing breaks generic store software in familiar ways

  • One style, dozens of SKUs

Every size in every colour needs its own stock count, barcode and photo — and a typo in one of them sells a jumper you don’t have.

  • Shoppers browse by colour

A grid that shows one tile per style hides the olive version someone would have bought if they’d seen it.

  • Fit questions become returns

Size swaps arrive as long email threads with no reason, no photo and no record of whether the parcel ever came back.

  • A drop needs a stage

A new season deserves an editorial page, not a category list with a banner pasted on top.

How SellOrchard helps

Five tools, each doing one job for your collection

Each block below is a separate part of SellOrchard. Use the ones your label needs; the links go to the full feature pages.

Variants & option sets

Part of Products & inventory

Size runs you set up once

Save a size run or colour list as an option set and reuse it on every product, then give each combination its own details.

What you can do

  • Reusable option sets such as “Sizes XS–XL” (up to 100 values each)
  • Per-variant SKU, price, stock and image — picking Sage shows the Sage photo
  • Storefront filters by option (Size, Colour), price, brand and in-stock
  • Import from Shopify, WooCommerce or BigCommerce CSV with up to three options per product

Split variants

Part of Products & inventory

Each colourway as its own product card

Turn on split variants for a product (or the whole store) and collection pages show one card per colour, while there is still only one product to manage.

What you can do

  • Cards titled “Field Overshirt – Sage”, each with that colour’s first image, price and stock
  • Every card opens the same product page with its colour already selected
  • Choose which option to split by, and whether the combined card still shows
  • The product page keeps one canonical URL, so no duplicate pages for search engines

Lookbook pages

Part of Online store builder

Editorial pages for every drop

Build a lookbook in the drag-and-drop builder: full-bleed slides and galleries next to a product grid of the pieces in each look.

What you can do

  • Slides, gallery, image carousel and product grid widgets on the same page
  • Countdown widget for the launch, and a popup with a sign-up form for the drop
  • Save a lookbook as a page template and reuse the layout next season
  • Separate desktop, tablet and mobile settings, with revisions you can restore

Returns & exchanges

Returns and size swaps with a paper trail

Shoppers request a return from their order page; your team approves it, receives it and refunds it, with every step on a timeline.

What you can do

  • Return numbers like R1001, a return window counted from delivery and your own reasons (“Too small”, “Too big” …)
  • Require a photo for reasons such as “Damaged or faulty”
  • Offer refund, store credit or exchange — exchanges are sent by your team, then the return is closed with a note
  • Optional restocking fee (0–50%) only for the reasons you choose, waivable per return
  • Mark final-sale items “Can’t be returned”; received items can go straight back into stock

Product reviews

Fit feedback from people who bought it

Reviews let shoppers tell each other how a cut runs — with photos and a verified-buyer badge.

What you can do

  • Up to four photos per review, and a badge when the reviewer bought the product
  • A review-request email a set number of days after delivery
  • Publish automatically for verified buyers, or approve each review yourself
  • Reply publicly as the store, right under the review

Worked example

Launching an autumn capsule at Juniper & Moss

An illustrative label, walking through one season with the tools above. Names and figures are made up for illustration.

  1. Six weeks out

    Set up the run

The team applies the saved “Sizes XS–XL” set and a six-colour list to the new overshirt: thirty variants, each with its own SKU and photo.

    Option sets
  2. Five weeks out

    Split by colour

Split variants is switched on for the product and the combined card hidden — the outerwear page now shows six overshirts, one per colour.

    Split variants
  3. Two weeks out

    Build the lookbook

A new builder page pairs slides of each look with a product grid, plus a countdown and a sign-up popup. It stays a draft until launch morning.

  4. Launch day

    Publish and sell

The lookbook goes live; shoppers jump from a look straight to the overshirt with their colour pre-selected.

  5. Week two

    A size swap

A shopper requests return R1004 with “Too small” and picks exchange. The parcel is marked received and restocked, the larger size goes out, and the return is closed with a note.

    Returns
  6. Week three

    Fit notes appear

Review requests go out after delivery; photo reviews mention whether the cut runs large — useful to the next shopper choosing a size.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can each colour appear as its own product in my collections?

Yes. Turn on split variants for a product or for the whole store and pick the option to split by (usually Colour). Listings show one card per colour, each opening the same product page with that colour selected. You can also hide the combined card.

How do exchanges work?

Shoppers choose exchange when they request a return. Your team handles the replacement — send the new size as you normally would — and then closes the return with a note. Refunds and store credit are processed from the return itself.

Can I charge a restocking fee?

Yes, from 0 to 50%, applied only to the reasons you list (for example “Changed my mind”). Staff can waive it on any single return.

Can I bring my catalog over from another platform?

The product import reads SellOrchard, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and generic CSV files, maps up to three options per product, matches existing items by SKU and downloads product images into your media library.

Where do I put a size guide?

Design your product template in the builder and add a tabs or accordion widget with your size table, so it appears on every product page without retyping it.
