Agencies and freelancers build and run stores for clients through the partner portal (/partner, outside any store; any account can apply from sellorchard.com/partners → Join). SellOrchard approves applications; until then the portal shows "waiting for approval". Tiers: Registered (20% commission), Certified (25%, listed in the "Find a partner" directory if they opt in), White-label (30%, can brand the admin). Partner developers who build apps are a separate thing (/developer).

  1. Clients: Create client store (name, optional address, client email, trial) — the store belongs to the partner until Transfer to client emails the client a handover link (/transfer/{token}, 14 days). On accept the client becomes the owner (plan and billing) and the partner keeps collaborator access to the areas chosen, unless the client removes it. The list shows each client's plan, status, trial days, MRR, collaborator areas and last activity; Open store opens it in the admin.
  2. Access requests: ask the owner of an existing store for collaborator access (store address or domain, areas, a message). The owner answers in Settings → Staff → Collaborators: Approve with the areas ticked, Decline, later Edit access or Remove. Collaborators don't use staff seats, never see billing or the team, and their changes show in Settings → Activity as "{name} (via {Partner})". Partner staff open client stores from the store switcher, where they're grouped under the partner's name.
  3. Team: owner, admins (everything except payout details and payouts) and members (can be limited to some client stores). People need a SellOrchard account first.
  4. Referral: the partner's link (sellorchard.com/r/{code}) remembers the visitor for 60 days; stores they create in their first 60 days count for the partner. The code can be changed once. A store's partner can't change after its first paid invoice.
  5. Earnings: commission = the partner's rate × the store's subscription payments (without tax; add-ons included) for 24 months from its first paid invoice. Each commission is pending for 30 days (refund window), then available; refunds take it back. Request payout (owner, minimum $50, payout details first: bank, Payoneer, PayPal or Wise) — SellOrchard sends the money and emails the reference. Export CSV gives a statement for any months.
  6. White-label (White-label tier): brand name, logo, icon, colour, support email / link, email sender name, hide SellOrchard, storefront trial badge ("Powered by {brand}" or none), with a live preview. Admin domain: add e.g. admin.youragency.com, create the CNAME record shown (to cname.vercel-dns.com) and wait until it shows Connected. On that domain the admin shows the partner's brand, people only see stores linked to the partner (and their own), and password reset / invitation emails use the brand and link back to it. Client stores' emails go out as "{store} via {brand}". Billing stays with SellOrchard (the billing page uses neutral wording).
