By default store emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, bookings, abandoned-cart reminders, back-in-stock alerts, review requests, gift cards, returns, account and password emails) come from orders@mail.sellorchard.com with your store name, and replies go to your store email (Store details). It works right away. On any paid plan (not the free trial) you can send from an address on a domain you own instead, e.g. "Beri Vape" <orders@berivapeshop.com>:

  1. Settings → Emails → Sender name: the name shoppers see in their inbox (default: your store name). The preview shows "Shoppers will see: …".
  2. Use your own domain → type the address (e.g. orders@yourstore.com; a subdomain like mail.yourstore.com works too). Free email services (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, iCloud, AOL, Proton, Yandex, Mail.ru, GMX, Zoho) and SellOrchard addresses can't be used. You don't need a mailbox for the address — replies still go to your store email.
  3. Add the 3 DNS records shown (a TXT record for DKIM, an MX record and a TXT record for SPF on send) at your domain provider exactly as shown: GoDaddy, Namecheap, Hostinger: type only the Name (like send) in the Host field — they add your domain themselves. Cloudflare: set each record to DNS only (grey cloud), not Proxied. They don't affect your website or your current mailbox.
  4. Press Check records (the page also re-checks while it's open). DNS changes usually show up within an hour but can take 24–48 hours; we keep checking automatically for 3 days, so you can leave the page. Status: Waiting for DNS → Verified. Until then emails keep coming from the default address. After 3 days without the records it shows "Not verified" — fix the records and press Check records again.
  5. Change address changes the part before @ (orders, hello, support…) without new DNS records. Remove domain goes back to the default address (you can delete the DNS records afterwards).

We check verified domains every day: if the records disappear, emails go back to the default address and you get a notification and an email — add the records back and it switches back automatically. "This domain is already verified in another email account": remove it from that account first or contact support. Staff need the Settings area. Emails to your own team (new order alerts, low license keys…) and SellOrchard account emails always come from SellOrchard.
