Delivery
Paid, delivered, done
When an order with digital items is paid, the buyer gets a "Your downloads" email listing each file and any license keys, plus a link to a private downloads page. Digital-only orders move to Delivered on their own, and the order confirmation includes the downloads too.
- Each click creates a short-lived download link, so shared URLs stop working
- The downloads page shows how many downloads are left and when access ends
- Signed-in customers find every purchase under a Downloads tab in their account
- Resend the email or reset download counts from the order page
Setting up a product
From file to first sale
Step 1: Choose "Digital" as the product type
Shipping and weight fields disappear; stock tracking stays optional for limited editions.
Step 2: Upload your files
Drag and drop with a progress bar. Name each file, and attach it to every variant or just one — the PDF to "E-book", the ZIP to "Bundle".
Step 3: Set the rules
Keep the store defaults (5 downloads, 30 days) or set this product's own limit and expiry, including unlimited.
Step 4: Add license keys if you sell software
Paste keys one per line. Each unit sold takes the next available key.

Files

What kinds of files can I sell?
Any file you're allowed to sell — e-books, templates, audio, video, fonts, software installers and so on — up to 2 GB per file. Files count toward your plan's storage.
How do customers receive their files?
As soon as the order is paid they get an email with their downloads and license keys, and a link to a private downloads page for that order. Signed-in customers also see them in their account.
Can I limit how many times a file is downloaded?
Yes. The store default is 5 downloads within 30 days, and you can change both, set them per product, or make them unlimited. You can reset a customer's count from the order page.
Can I update a file after people have bought it?
Yes. Replace the file on the product and everyone who bought it downloads the new version from their existing link.
What happens if I run out of license keys?
The order still goes through. The item is marked as missing keys and your team gets an email. Add more keys and assign them to the order from its page.
Can I sell physical and digital items in the same order?
Yes. Mixed carts ship the physical items as usual and deliver the digital ones instantly once the order is paid.
